Designed at the request of modern warfighters, SureFire’s line of SFMB SOCOM compatible muzzle brakes greatly enhance the user’s shot-to-shot recovery by reducing recoil impulse and muzzle rise. These muzzle brakes utilize SureFire’s proprietary Impulse Diffusion design, which minimizes the rearward concussion faced by the shooter as well as the left and right concussion directed towards teammates. In addition to providing greater control during rapid fire, the SFMBs also serve as a rock-solid mounting adapter for SureFire’s combat-tested SOCOM series Fast Attach suppressors. All attachment threads, the bore and suppressor mounting surfaces are all machined using the same set up, ensuring perfect concentricity between the SOCOM suppressor and the bore of the weapon. In addition, these muzzle brakes can be customized to fit the individual’s shooting style and ammunition choice by changing the size of the pilot holes located on the 3 o’clock and 9 o’clock position. These brakes can also be adapted to fit left handed shooters by drilling out the blind pilot hole located in the 6 o’clock position, this eliminates muzzle movement when shooting from a left handed perspective.
